Police are searching for two women who snatched a shopper’s purse inside a Hillcrest Whole Foods store.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the two women, whom investigators believe may be responsible for similar cases in the area.
Police said the incident happened just before noon on March 21 at the Whole Foods at 711 University Ave. The women worked together to distract a shopper who had her purse in her shopping cart and then snatch it.
The victim’s credit card was then used to make various purchases at a local Target store, investigators said.
Both suspects are described as black, between 30 and 40 years old with a medium build. They both have long, dark curly hair.
